DEAR READERS,
If you are reading this right now, I want to personally thank you for checking out Y.O.Y.O. magazine. My staff and I have worked very hard to put together the best piece of entertainment we could for you. For those that don’t know, “Y.O.Y.O” stands for You’re Only Young Once. Meaning, you will only have this amount of energy, resilience, and opportunity to be exactly who you want to be ONCE in your entire lifetime. ONLY ONCE will you be able to throw all caution to the wind and dedicate your time and energy to that ridiculous dream of yours before major obstacles like responsibility, children, and adulthood slow you down. This is my way of doing that for myself. But at the same time, it’s also my way of helping others do the same thing. Y.O.Y.O. magazine is dedicated to the dreams of the youth, and the youth that dare dream. To all the rappers, singers, models, actors, dancers, young entrepreneurs, visual artists, chefs, musicians, music producers, athletes and more, if you ‘re up all hours of the night while everyone is sleeping just to perfect your craft, this magazine is for you. It is designed with the ambitious talented young adult in mind.
I want to thank everyone who has been involved in the long journey of creating Y.O.Y.O.
When someone has stuck by your side for several months on end because they see such promise in your vision, relationships evolve past business and into family. I want every single person who has had a hand in this magazine, even if it was only an encouraging word in passing, to know how much I truly appreciate them. I also want to thank every artist that has trusted my staff and I with their reputation in a magazine that did not exist a month ago. It is with honor I present this magazine to the city of New Orleans knowing I have such a strong and loving support system behind me. I honestly hope everyone enjoys experiencing the first issue of Y.O.Y.O. Magazine as much as I enjoyed putting it together and I hope we enjoy issue after issue together for years to come.
